Spazio Epic

The Epic space in Foro Bonaparte in Milan has been the subject of an integral interior design project that has characterised its environments by drawing inspiration from the client’s core business. Active in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, Epic wished to transfer this approach to the furnishings, favouring an industrial nature, capable of recalling the distinctive character of Italian excellence.

The lighting design attempted to reinforce and diversify the spatial characteristics of the spaces, so in the open spaces the focus was on a sequence of linear bodies (Led Runner) with a corten finish and white steel (for the entrance hall), while in the meeting rooms the centrality of the spaces was accentuated with circular suspensions with double emission (Hola and Naboo). Finally, in the lounge, the more informal character has been entrusted to pairs of small suspension lamps (IO) aimed at the two steel tables.

The design concept envisaged the definition of the various rooms required through a boiserie system that ennobles the spaces and integrates the furniture with built-in elements. The boiserie is made of OSB panels, a typical industrial material, lightly sanded and painted, which gives a vibrant and material effect to the surfaces. Some of the tables are made of sheet and tubular steel, while the blackboards have been integrated into the walls.
