COOKIE POLICY

1. Why this information?

The specific purpose of this Cookie Policy is to explain the types of cookies installed on the www.exenia.eu website (hereinafter also referred to as the "Site"), the purposes and methods of their use as well as to provide information on how the user can deny, even at a later date, consent and/or change, at any time and easily, the options relating to the use of cookies by the Site.

The Data Controller is, pursuant to art. 4 of EU Reg. 2016/679 or GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), Exenia s.r.l., with registered office in Calenzano (FI), Via della Chiesa n° 38 - 50041 - PIVA 06038190481

This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Privacy Policy. The user may exercise the rights provided for by articles 15-22 of the GDPR by writing to the email address [email protected] To change the cookie settings, the user must modify the imports of the browser used by following the instructions in this Cookie Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send and store on your computer or mobile device and then transmit them to the same websites the next time you visit. It is thanks to cookies that a website remembers the user's actions and preferences (e.g. login details, language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to that website or navigates from one page to another.

Cookies may be stored permanently on your computer and have a variable duration (so-called persistent cookies), but they may also disappear when you close your browser or have a limited duration (so-called session cookies). Cookies can be installed by the website you are visiting (so-called first-party cookies) or they can be installed by other websites (so-called third-party cookies).

With Provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014, the Italian Data Protection Authority identified the following macro-categories of cookies.

1) Technical cookies: these are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see Article 122(1) of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, also known as the Privacy Code).

They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into:

- Session/navigation cookies: The use of session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable a safe and efficient exploration of the site and its applications. The so-called session cookies used on the site avoid the use of other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality

and do not allow the acquisition of personal data identifying the user. They do not require the user's consent.

- Persistent cookies: persistent cookies remain on the device even after leaving the website, until the user deletes them or until their expiry date is reached. The site creates this type of cookie and stores them on the device so that they can be read when the user visits the site again. This makes it possible, for example, to find the preferences you have set (e.g. wish list, shopping cart...) on subsequent visits to the site. They do not require your consent

2) Analytics cookies: these are cookies installed to collect aggregate information of a mainly statistical nature (how long you stay on a web page, number of visitors to the site...). They can be of two types:

- First-party analytical cookies: these are similar to technical cookies in that they are installed directly by the website you are visiting to improve its usability. They do not require your consent.

- Third-party analytical cookies: analytical cookies created and installed by third parties to analyse users' browsing in order to compile statistics on visits or to improve the offer of content, to show similar products and, possibly, to place targeted advertising on web pages. The system used is Google Analytics, the latter being a web analysis service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics, like other systems, uses "cookies" to enable the website to analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate the user's IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Since the IP address is in plain text, the use of such cookies requires your consent. By clicking on the "Continue" button in the banner or by continuing to use the website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

3) Profiling cookies: In view of the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation provides that users must be adequately informed of the use of such devices and thus express their valid consent.

They are referred to in Article 122 of the Privacy Code where it provides, in paragraph 1, that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or user or access to information already stored is permitted only if the user has given his consent after being informed in the simplified manner referred to in Article 13, paragraph 3".

Cookies may be installed on the user's terminal by the same operator of the site the user is visiting (which may be briefly referred to as the "publisher") or by a different site that installs cookies through the former (so-called "third parties").

The Guarantor Authority for the protection of personal data distinguishes between the two subjects in order to correctly identify their respective roles and responsibilities, with reference to the issuance of information and acquisition of consent of online users.

Indeed, it does not appear possible to place the publisher under an obligation to provide information and obtain consent to the installation of cookies on its website, even for those installed by 'third parties', since the publisher often does not directly know all the third parties that install cookies through its website and, therefore, neither does it know the logic behind the relevant processing.

Moreover, it is not infrequent that third parties are placed between the publisher and the third parties in the role of licensees, which makes it very difficult for the publisher to monitor the activities of all the parties involved.

Moreover, this would lead to a general lack of clarity in the information issued by the publisher, which would also make it extremely difficult for the user to read the document and thus to understand the information contained therein, thus also defeating the intention of simplification provided for by Article 122 of the Privacy Code.

3. Management of cookie preferences

Consent to the use of cookies is given in one of the following ways - by clicking on the "Continue" button in the banner containing the short information notice, which appears when the user enters the site; - by continuing to browse the site by accessing another area of the site or selecting an element of the same page.

4. How do I change my cookie settings?

Each user can set his terminal's browser in such a way that it accepts/rejects all cookies or displays a warning each time a cookie is proposed, in order to be able to assess whether to accept it or not.

You can, however, change the default configuration and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently) by setting the highest level of protection. Deleting or rejecting cookies may have a negative impact on your browsing experience on our site.

How to block or delete cookies from your device varies depending on the type of terminal device and the type of browser used.

If you are using a fixed device (PC, laptop, notebook, netbook and similar), you need to adjust the settings of the browser used.
