The church of the Palazzolo Institute is a place of worship deeply integrated with the care and health activities of the facility. Its structure and the presence of multi-level balconies make the space unique and have necessitated a flexible lighting design approach, capable of adapting to liturgical functions, moments of prayer, and movement throughout the day.
The lighting design project was created with the goal of:
- ensuring visual comfort for patients, staff, and visitors
- enhancing the architectural space, characterized by an internal height of up to 20 meters
- creating different lighting scenarios for celebrations, personal prayer, nighttime passages, and functional situations
- highlighting the artworks present, including a series of paintings dedicated to the Passion of Christ.
Lighting solution
To meet the various needs, 230V tracks, Museo Revo projectors, and Revo Spotlights with diverse optics and power levels were employed, all managed via Casambi technology with integrated Bluetooth control.
The entire system offers:
- complete flexibility in creating customized scenarios
- intuitive management via buttons, smartphone, or tablet
- easy maintenance, thanks to the placement of all electronic components in easily accessible positions
- centralized control via Gateway for remote monitoring.
The paintings depicting episodes from the Passion of Christ were enhanced using dedicated Spot lighting, designed to ensure a balance between color rendering and perception of the artworks.
Result
The combination of over 200 fixtures, including projectors, tracks, and linear lights, created a harmonious, welcoming, and functional environment.
The parish priest now independently manages every scenario: from ordinary to solemn Mass, from daytime functions to nighttime scenarios with timers.a messa ordinaria a quella solenne, dalle funzioni diurne agli scenari notturni con timer.
